God promises to carry out justice for the orphan and the widow. Deut. 10:18
Justice includes fair treatment, peace and genuine respect.

In Deuteronomy 14:29, God connects His blessing of individuals with how they treat orphans and widows.

In Psalm 146:9 God says that He supports the fatherless and the widow but He obstructs or opposes or is NOT supportive of the way of the wicked.
