See for yourself the way His mercies shower down on all who trust in Him.
If you belong to God, honor Him;
Everyone who honors God has everything he needs.
Strong young lions may go hungry,
People who honor God will never lack any good thing.
Attention, good people:
Value trusting and fearing God.
Enjoy a long, good life.
Watch what you say.
Keep your lips from lying.
Turn from all known sin.
Do good.
Live in peace with everyone; working at it.
God watches all who live good lives.
God gives attention when they cry to him.
God erases even the memory of evil men from the earth.
God hears the good man when he calls to him for help.
God saves him out of all his troubles.
God is close to those whose hearts are breaking;
He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins.
The good man does not escape all troubles—he has them too.
But God helps him in each and every one.
Not one of his bones is broken.
The difference:
Troubles overtake the wicked;
Heavy penalties are meted out to those who hate the good.
But for those who serve God, He will deliver them;
Everyone who takes refuge in God will be freely pardoned.
